Part 1: Thimphu (Capital City)
Day 01: Arrival and Welcome to Bhutan
- Arrive at Paro International Airport (PBH), meet our representative, and drive to the capital city of Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hours).
- Explore the local landmarks by visiting the massive Buddha Dordenma statue for a panoramic view of the Thimphu Valley.
- Return to the hotel in Thimphu for an overnight stay. (1st Night)
Day 02: Exploring the Sights (Thimphu)
- After breakfast, proceed for a day of sightseeing through the cultural heart of Bhutan.
- Explore local landmarks like the National Memorial Chorten, the Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion), and the Folk Heritage Museum.
- Return to the hotel for an overnight stay. (2nd Night)
Part 2: Punakha (Former Capital)
Day 03: Travel to Punakha
- After breakfast, check out and proceed for a scenic drive to Punakha (approx. 3 hours).
- Explore the local cultural hotspots by stopping at the Dochula Pass (10,000 ft) for a view of the Eastern Himalayas and visiting the magnificent Punakha Dzong.
- Return to the hotel in Punakha for an overnight stay. (3rd Night)
Day 04: Return to Paro
- After breakfast, proceed for a morning of sightseeing.
- Explore the local cultural hotspots by taking a short, pleasant walk through the paddy fields to visit Chimi Lhakhang (The Fertility Temple). Drive back to Paro in the afternoon.
- Return to the hotel in Paro for an overnight stay. (4th Night)
Part 3: Paro & Departure
Day 05: Exploring the Sights (Tiger’s Nest Hike)
- After early breakfast, proceed for a day of sightseeing that requires moderate physical effort.
- Explore the most iconic local landmark: a hike to Taktsang Goemba (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) (5-7 hour round trip).
- Return to the hotel in Paro for an overnight stay. (5th Night)
Day 06: Departure
- After breakfast, if time permits, explore local landmarks and cultural hotspots for some last-minute sightseeing like the Paro Rinpung Dzong (Fortress on a Heap of Jewels) or a local market.
- Transfer to Paro International Airport (PBH) for your departure.
